The main electronic of the Midline cockpit consists of a mainboard, a Midline logicboard and a small power supply. These components will be fixed in a Midline cockpit onto a stainless steel plate.

The mainboard includes the 16-bit microcontroller (main processor) as the USB and serial communication ports. The firmware saved to flash memory of the microcontroller ensures secure and comfortable firmware updates via USB interface.
The USB connector is the main interface to your personal computer. The serial interface delivers simulated GPS data to an external navigation PDA/PNA that includes a mapping system.
To build up a complete cockpit you need an additional logicboard.

The enhanced logic is mounted onta a "logicboard" containing specific parts e.g. to build a "Cessna" like cockpit or a separate radio stack. To each logicboard belongs a mainboard that contains the corresponding firmware.

The logicboard Midline cockpit allows to connect all instruments and components to build a complete Midline cockpit. The power can be supplied by a standard PC power supply (via hard disk connector) or by a separate compact low consumption power supply as follows.

The power supply set of a Midline cockpit includes a small power supply board, a separate switched power supply (input 100V~ to 240V~) and a power cable. Using the power supply board it is possible to disconnect the whole cockpit from the external power.
