The Midline cockpit orientates itself on the configuration of the Cessna 172 (the default aircraft of the Microsoft Flight Simulator) and fits as a low cost VFR/IFR trainer to flight schools and flight clubs as to seriously flight simmers. The Midline cockpit is delivered completely as shown below including a small seperate power supply, a USB cable and installation CD.

The compact and well-formed cockpit is installed in a few steps. All you need is a power socket and a free USB port at your personal computer. The power is applied by a small external switched power supply; inside the cockpit there is human-safe low voltage only.
The artificial horizon, the VOR with glideslope indicator as the white backlight of all instruments accentuate the capability for night and IFR flights. Because every gauge of all instruments are driven by stepper motors, the cockpit instruments can be completely remote controlled. This allows e.g. a virtual flight teacher (inside the Microsoft Flight Simulator) to setup your VOR.
The Midline cockpit contains beside the mandatory USB port (to connect your PC) a seperate serial port that delivers simulated GPS signals (NMEA 0183 compatible). If you connect your existing PDA containing flight navigation software (e.g. PocketFMS) to the serial port of the cockpit, you can navigate as you do in a real aircraft. Some other "real" navigation devices still contains a serial port as in input from an external GPS receiver and can be connected to our Midline cockpit instead.
Configuration
The Midline cockpit is built in two variants: with and without throttle and mixer controls.

The cockpit variant including internal controls uses high precision linear potentiometers connected to the cockpit microcontroller using 10-bit A/D converters.

Case colors
The case of a Midline cockpit is available in standard colors steal blue (RAL5011) and schist gray (RAL7015). Other colors can be ordered on agreement for an additional charge.
